First entry on this Blog so bear with me,

Read a thread from N.C. about planning to use a State/Federal park for your bug out site or a stop over and how terrible an Idea this is. I had not planned to use any parks, too many people know about these thousands of acres without anybody there, at least on their last visit! But I never considered how dangerous these places would be.

Too many people think prepping is having several firearms and a couple of hundred rounds for each. Would be a really good idea to avoid these people at all costs. Most on this site have a good idea what prepping is and have prepared for many different type of problems. Most on this site would also have quite a few items this Firearm prepper would want. Sounds like a very good idea to stay out of any places you would run into quite a few people that haven’t planned.

I have thought about prepping for several years, storing different items for different problems. Have also planned for a Bug out location and how best to get there but the State parks item excaped my planning for these years and want to make sure it does not sneak up on You and yours.
